My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) of Wake County Community Day 2019

Join us for the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) of Wake County Community Day on Saturday, April 27, 2019. MBK Community Day is a day of panels, interactive workshops and engaging discussion about the state of our community and need to support youth and young adults especially boys and young men of color. This event is for parents, guardians, youth, young adults, mentoring organizations and allies of Black, Brown, Indigenous and all youth and  families to help make a greater impact in Wake County. The MBK Community Day is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided. Space is limited, please RSVP by April 17, 2019.

President Barack Obama launched the My Brother’s Keeper initiative in 2014 to address persistent issues and opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color to ensure that all young people can reach their full potential. The MBK initiative lives on through the Obama Foundation, MBK Alliance and partner allies around the country who have answered the call to continue to support boys and young men of color in Wake County and nationwide.
